Securing Initial Orders from Leading Robot Companies

China automotive components manufacturer Wanxiang Qianchao has confirmed that its robotics business has entered a new stage, with some products already receiving designations from leading customers while others remain under development and validation.
The company has identified robotics as its third strategic business sector, following its established businesses in bearings and automotive chassis systems. Its robotics portfolio focuses on key components including robotic joint bearings, precision shafts, ball screws, planetary roller screws, precision reducers, and other critical motion components.
Leveraging decades of expertise in precision manufacturing and bearing technology, Wanxiang Qianchao believes its experience in universal joints, bearings, and high-precision components provides strong technical advantages for robotics applications.
The company has already established production capabilities including an annual capacity of 100,000 sets of roller screws and 10 million sets of joint universal components. It also plans to build dedicated robotic bearing capacity of 1.2 million sets in 2026.
In addition to domestic development, Wanxiang Qianchao is accelerating its global manufacturing strategy. The company is expanding its Thailand production base to support international customers and build a more flexible global supply chain.
For R&D, Wanxiang Qianchao has established a dedicated robotics team with more than 150 technical and engineering personnel involved in product development, testing, and industrialization.
The company’s move reflects a broader trend in the precision manufacturing industry: traditional bearing and automotive suppliers are increasingly entering robotics, driven by demand for humanoid robots, automation, and advanced motion-control systems.
With decades of experience in bearings and mechanical components, Wanxiang Qianchao aims to leverage its manufacturing capabilities to participate in the next generation of intelligent manufacturing.
