SKF and CITIC Special Steel Explore Aerospace Bearings and Green Steel

SKF and CITIC Special Steel recently held an Aerospace & Green Steel Innovation Seminar in China, focusing on advanced aerospace materials and low-carbon manufacturing.

The two companies discussed deeper cooperation in aerospace bearing materials, building on their existing partnerships across industrial, wind power and high-speed rail applications.

A key focus was green steel. Both sides explored carbon reduction across the value chain, from special steel production to bearing manufacturing, as sustainability becomes increasingly important for advanced industrial supply chains.

SKF also visited CITIC Special Steel’s Daye facility to review its steelmaking capabilities and aerospace bearing steel development.

The cooperation highlights the growing importance of collaboration between steel and bearing manufacturers in building high-performance, lower-carbon supply chains.
